Sauna and terrace soak
A cedar sauna and a tub on the terrace
Heat is an add-on to a treatment, or a visit of its own. Both are for guests 18 and over, one party at a time.
The sauna is cedar, with two tiers of benches and a window onto the pines. The tub is wood too, on the terrace behind the lounge. Carroll sets up each session and is never far away.

A session
How a session goes
Each part is yours to shorten. Step out whenever you like.
- 01
Step 1: Rinse
A quick rinse in the shower beside the sauna, then a towel and your robe. Tie up long hair.
- 02
Step 2: Sauna
Sit or lie on the lower or upper bench. Step out when you want to; there is a bucket of water and a ladle.
- 03
Step 3: Cool and rest
Back to the sun room for water and a few quiet minutes, wrapped in a robe.
- 04
Step 4: Terrace soak
Ease into the tub, with tea or water within reach. A bench on the terrace is there for the way out.
Before you book
What to wear, who may come, who should ask
What to wear
A swimsuit in the sauna and the tub. We give you a robe, towel and sandals for the walk between, and a locker for the rest.
Who may use it
Guests 18 and over. We don't book children or teens into the sauna or the soak.
Ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, have a heart condition or have been told to take care with heat, ask your doctor before you book. Leave the room if you feel dizzy or unwell.
Phones and quiet
Phones stay in your locker. There are no photos in the sauna, the lounge or anywhere guests are changing.
Questions about the sauna and soak
How long is a session?
Thirty minutes for the sauna or the soak on its own, or an hour for both with a rest between. You can always step out sooner.
Do I need to book a massage too?
No. Heat can be a visit of its own or an add-on before or after a treatment.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. Two guests can share a session. Call the front desk for groups of three or more.
Add heat to your visit
Choose the sauna or the terrace soak when you book, or ask Nari to build a visit around it.
